Today, we'd like to highlight a few announcements from IT Expo West 2008, which kicked off yesterday in Los Angeles. Among the news: Zeacom announced a presence management capability designed for the mobile phone and VoIP Logic has introduced a call detail record manager for its Cortex module.

Zeacom announced that it has deployed an “Executive Mobile” module as an integral component of the company’s Zeacom Communications Center (ZCC) 5.1, which is currently used by more than 2,500 enterprises worldwide. The Executive Mobile feature lets users manage their presence and availability status on their BlackBerry and Windows Mobile devices. Designed to remove the demarcation between desktop and mobile devices, the feature includes a single mailbox, along with presence profiles and directory management tools.

Zeacom also announced it is acquiring New Zealand-based Talking Computer’s Mi-Audio and MI-Eval product lines to add voice recording and training modules to its ZCC 5.1 portfolio. The Mi-Audio module is a Windows-based call recording technology for call centers which when used with the Integrated Evaluation, Call Assessment and Coaching module will provide Zeacom customers with evaluation, training and ongoing support tools. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

VoIP Logic, a global provider of VoIP managed services introduced a Call Detail Record Management module (CDR Manager) for its Cortex middleware. CDR Manager is a hosted tool for real-time reporting and access to call records and other raw user data. In a prepared statement, Micah Singer, VoIP Logic CEO and Founder, said: “We anticipate that this addition to Cortex will enhance the already high level of service and support we provide to our customers, and by extension, our customers’ customers.” He also noted that the CDR Manager “will play a big role” in the company’s business following an agreement with NextPoint earlier this year to provide direct sales and technical support to its customers globally.

In a separate announcement, VoIP Logic also happily disclosed it was recently honored by Inc. for its growth in the telecom sector (in the top 100). VoIP Logic also ranked at No. 2,369 in the Inc. annual ranking of the 5,000 fastest-growing private companies in the country; VoIP Logic had with three-year sales growth of 155%. The 2008 Inc. 5000 list measures revenue growth from 2004 through 2007.
